From a young age, Maurissa developed a deep love for writing that has remained unwavering. This passion persisted during her college years, where she actively contributed to The Odyssey Online and Pulse Magazine as a writer at Hofstra University.

Maurissa recently held the position of Junior Editor at Amazing Magazine in New York City. In this role, she has had the privilege of interviewing numerous celebrities and honing her craft by crafting captivating stories.

Maurissa also served as the Editor-in-Chief of UPchieve’s student blog, where she managed and supported over 50+ blog writers across the country. Through creating and curating compelling content, under Maurissa’s guidance, over 10 UPchieve blogs have been featured on Google’s SERP.
